#2: Restriction on document dates for e-way bill generation

E-way bills can only be generated for documents dated within 180 days of the generation date. For instance, documents dated before 5th July 2024 will not be eligible for e-way bill generation after 1st January 2025.

 

#3: Limits on e-way bill extension periods

Extensions for e-way bills will be limited to 360 days from their original date of generation. For example, an e-way bill generated on 1st January 2025 can be extended only until 25th December 2025.

 

#4: Lower turnover threshold for e-invoicing

  • As per Notification No. 10/2023, businesses with an annual turnover of Rs. 5 crore or more are now required to generate e-invoices starting 1st August 2023.
  • This update significantly broadens the e-invoicing mandate, which previously applied only to businesses with a turnover of Rs. 20 crore or more.

 

#5: Integration with multiple invoice registration portals (IRPs)
